Weather

It’s hot here! The average temperature is around 35°C, so always use sunscreen, and a small fan can be a lifesaver.

Bug Spray

The bug spray you have might not be effective on Thai mosquitoes,

so it’s better to get your bug spray here.

The กย 15 brand is really good.

Transportation

To get places, the apps Grab and Bolt are really useful.

If you are in Bangkok, the BTS is really convenient too.

7-Eleven

7-Eleven stores are everywhere, always open

and they have almost everything you need!

Useful Apps

Grab (food and transport) (cash and credit card)

Bolt (transport for a cheaper price) (cash and credit card)

Internet + SIM

You can get internet and a SIM card at booths at the airport right after entering Thailand, any 7/11 or shopping malls.

Try not to use your own SIM from outside Thailand, that will cost a lot of money.

Payment

Thai people use baht! 1 euro is around 38 baht

For foreigners, the best way to pay is with cash. Receive cash with your debit/credit card they will work on most ATMs

(yellow krungsri ATMS are most consistent).

Every transaction has a transaction fee, 220 baht (on any amount),

and to save money choose not to accept the ATM conversion, but the one from your card.

It’s also possible to exchange money at ‘superrich’ booths across Thailand.

These have the best exchange rate from any booths.

Credit cards are also very useful for any digital services or app services.

The exchange rate from Euro to Thai Baht is 1 EUR = ฿38 THB.
